  1. Family needs to live in East Multnomah County outside of Portland Public Schools area (from approximately I-205 to Corbett and the Columbia River to the Clackamas County line).
  2. Program serves kids from birth to 5 years old.

 

Head Start or Early Head Start application can be submitted in our office. 10100 NE Prescott, Portland, OR 97220.

 


Yes we have Full Day Full Year Program. To qualify for this program parents need to work and receive ERDC from DHS office. ERDC stands for Employment Related Daycare or be a full time student at the Gresham campus (9+ credits).

To check the status of your submitted application you need to email or call to the office 503-491-6111. We would need to know first and last name and date of birth of your child and your first and last name.

If you want to apply for Head Start or Early Head Start, you can submit your application at the Maywood office, 10100 NE Prescott, Portland OR 97220, ph: 503-491-6111.

a.) You can come to the office in person between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday – Friday. If that is impossible, please call the office 503-491-6111, we might be able to make other arrangements. You need to bring proof of qualifications (TANF, SSI, Foster placement or income verification for the last calendar year or past 12 months - taxes 1040 form, W2 or check stubs for 12 months). It is not necessary fill out the application in advance, come to the office to do so.

b.) In addition to the application, we will need you to do more paperwork at the office including small interview about family situation.

c.) If you have any questions, you can ask them via on-line form here or call 503-491-6111.

d.) If you can't come to the office between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on business days, please contact us via email or phone 503-491-6111. We may be able to take your application on Saturdays only by appointments between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.

lease do not be discouraged by this guideline. We take many factors into consideration, one of those needs for the family

Yes you still can apply if your family is over income. We will take your application.
Please note; our program serves families by income and needs. That is why we can't guarantee your placement. Your placement will depend on the total pool of applications we have in the moment when we have an opening for a child. When you fill out an application, we can also direct you to other preschool and early childhood education opportunities in East Multnomah County.
