I Can Use my Words

Switch to Spanish

  1. I Can Use My Words. You can have a turn when I am done.
  2. I can use my words to tell people what I want and need. Can I trade with you? I can use words to tell people how I feel. I can say, "I am mad.” I I am mad! I can use my words to say, "Stop please, I don’t like that.” if someone is doing something I don’t like.
  3. Sometimes I forget to use my words. Sometimes I whine, scream or cry instead of using my words. This hurts people’s ears and makes them upset. It also doesn’t help me get what I want.
  4. My family and my teachers can help me remember to use words. Say, "Can I have the book please.” I can use words to ask for help. I can say, "Can you help me please.” Can you help me please?
  5. Using my words helps me get what I need. Can you help me please? Can I have that please? People can understand me better if I use words . Everyone is happy when I use my words.
